Cheshire based housebuilder, David Wilson Homes North West, has been Highly Commended by Wyre Council in its Building Excellence Awards 2012, for their impressive work throughout the building process at Hawley Gardens, Thornton Cleveleys.

David Wilson Homes North West were chosen from a shortlist put forward by the council's building control officers, who monitored the continual progress of each project. This prestigious award has been won as a result of the excellent relationships which were formed between the developer and Building Control, enabling the construction procedure to run smoothly on site.

This award also means that the housebuilder has been entered for the LABC North West Region Building Excellence Awards, taking place in May at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton.

Managing director of David Wilson Homes North West, Graham Swann, comments: “We were absolutely delighted to hear that we had won this award and we are particularly proud of our development at Hawley Gardens. This award is a fitting recognition of the hard work and dedication of the whole team at Hawley Gardens, lead by site manager Keith Edwards.

“The quality of the finished product at this site echoes the positive attitude towards the construction process. I am thrilled that as a result of this recognition we are through to the regional awards.”

Congratulating the winners at the Civic Centre in Poulton, Councillor Gordon McCann (Cabinet member with responsibility for building control), said: "This is our way of thanking those developers who continue to put quality at the forefront of their business.

"We really appreciate their investment in Wyre and their willingness to work with the council to ensure the borough looks as good as it does."

The Hawley Gardens development offers a stunning collection of thoughtfully-designed three and four bedroom homes, perfectly apt for family living, with prices starting at just £145,995. Situated in the quiet suburb of Thornton-Cleveleys, this site lies just four miles from the centre of Blackpool and a mile from the coast.

Set within easy reach of the local Poulton rail station, Hawley Gardens offers direct links into the city centre, whilst the M55 is just an eight mile drive away, meaning the development is perfectly situated for commuters. There are also plenty of local schools close by, ranging from infant to sixth form level.
