Las Vegas heads Tour America Direct city break list
USA specialist Tour America Direct says Las Vegas has knocked New York off the top of its ‘most popular city break’ list.
“Las Vegas offers fantastic value for money and there’s so much more to it than the casinos. It’s a destination that works for couples, groups and families,” says Tour America Direct managing director Mary McKenna.
Tour America Direct features over 40 hotels in the desert resort, from mega-hotels like the Venetian with thousands of rooms and their own casinos, to the 150-suite Rumor boutique hotel a couple of blocks east of the Strip.
Tour America Direct is tipping the Tropicana Las Vegas as a great choice for 2012 visitors to the Strip. After a 180 million-dollar re-vamp this 1,375-room four-star hotel now has a laid-back South Beach vibe and a new Beach Club (opening later this month) called SPF, also known as Swim, Play, Flirt! With a superb pool – already voted the best in Las Vegas – to private cabanas, a long cocktail menu and great DJs, the Tropicana promises the best pool parties on the Strip this summer!
Other facilities include RPM the hotel’s own nightclub, ‘Glow’ its own Mandara Spa, a fitness centre, four different dining options, and – of course – its own Casino. A four-night break at the Tropicana Las Vegas in May, including return scheduled flights from Gatwick starts at £859 per person, sharing on a room-only basis.
Tour America Direct can also arrange limousine airport transfers, a VIP nightclub package – ideal for hen-parties – and sightseeing options from hot air balloon rides to limo tours.
