Wintery weather sends Brits seeking the sun

Reports of wintery conditions over Easter has seen a rise in bookings to European hot spots as Brits follow the sun.

Leading luxury travel club Voyage Privé, witnessed a surge in bookings to sun kissed destinations including Spain and Italy last weekend, following reports that snow and plummeting temperatures will hit parts of the UK.

Brits have been left longing for the sun after experiencing scorching temperatures during March, and many have been snapping up last minute discounted deals saving on average 54% on their Easter breaks.

John Bevan, Managing Director at Voyage Privé said “Popular sun spots throughout Europe are benefiting greatly from the UK’s erratic weather, as millions of British holidaymakers head off to destinations offering guaranteed sunshine this Easter.”
