Spring Cottage, a new five star, five bedroom East Devon long house, set within one acre of private land and  surrounded by secluded woodland, is the latest luxurious property to join the Blue Chip Holidays portfolio of select holiday homes set in stunning South West locations.

This impressive pet-friendly country retreat for ten, just a short drive from the dramatic Jurassic coast and set in an Outstanding Area of Natural Beauty, can be booked from £1,379 a week; under £20 per person, per night. Three nights can be booked from £973.

Set within its own grounds this striking property has an enviable location set away from the outside world in blissful wooded privacy.

It has a large garden that's great for energetic children and dogs, an outside table with seating for ten and sun loungers for sultry summer afternoons.

It has French oak exposed beams in virtually every room, solid oak flooring and under floor heating on the ground floor, parking for five cars and an electric gated entrance.

Finished and decorated to the highest level with stylish furnishings, fixtures and fittings, this sumptuous woodland retreat has a surprise around every corner. As well as an open plan living, kitchen and dining area, and a second living room, Spring Cottage even has its own piano room and five en-suite bedrooms.

The main living room has high ceilings, a large open fireplace, three comfy sofas, side tables, a coffee table and views over the large garden. Entertainment is provided by a flatscreen TV, DVD player and a Sky package. The second upper living room has direct access to the garden. It has two sofas, an open fireplace, a coffee table and a nest of side tables. It too has a TV and DVD player, which means that adults and children can enjoy their own space. Wi-Fi access is provided for guests with their own laptop.

The light and airy dining area features a large table for ten with leather seating. Double doors open on to the patio and garden where alfresco meals can be enjoyed on the outside table for ten.

The kitchen itself has been finished to an exceptionally high standard featuring Mary Berry's favourite, a splendid six oven Aga as well as a two ring hob and extractor fan. In addition to plenty of storage space, granite work tops and double Belfast sinks, the kitchen comes with its own flatscreen TV and a separate utility area with an American fridge freezer, wash dryer and access to the downstairs shower room.

Upstairs are five spacious bedrooms featuring exposed oak frames and beams, wardrobes, chests of drawers, bedside tables and lamps, and flatscreen TVs with freeview (with the exception of bedroom three, which has no TV).  All rooms have garden views.

Bedroom one has a king-size bed, vaulted beamed ceilings with a hayloft above and its own en-suite; bedroom two has a queen-size bed with en-suite; bedroom three has vaulted beamed ceilings with hayloft above, a double bed and en-suite; bedrooms four and five both have twins and their own en-suites. Each bathroom has been finished to an exceptional level of quality featuring a mix of showers, baths, WCs, heated towel rails, wash basins and mirrors.

Nearby attractions include Budleigh Salterton, which is situated on the spectacular East Devon coast, famed for its stunning red cliffs that form the beginning of the world heritage Jurassic Coast. The beach at Budleigh is a peaceful bay formed from large pebbles making it ideal for swimming, and the town hosts a selection of independent shops and charming tea rooms serving traditional cream teas.

Exmouth is only a short drive away as is the 18th century, 16-sided 'A la Ronde' house, owned by the National Trust.

A week can be booked from £1,379. Three nights can be booked from £973.

Bookings can be made online at bluechipholidays.co.uk.
