Homes from Redrow’s sought-after New Heritage Collection will soon be available in the south Northamptonshire town of Towcester.

The award-winning housebuilder has planning approval to develop 12.8 acres of land at Belle Baulk to provide 82 new homes.

The homes will be built on seven acres, while the remainder of the site will comprise public open space and a nature walk along a former railway embankment, together with a play area and a balancing pond; the latter designed to manage surface water drainage but at the same time create an attractive feature.

The development is expected to have a finished sales value of around £21 million.

Mary Timlin, sales director for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), commented: “We’ve seen great success across the country with our New Heritage Collection and anticipate that it will be well received in Towcester. Featuring a selection of homes with two to five bedrooms, including some bungalows, the development will meet the housing needs of a variety of buyers and budgets. Anyone considering moving home in the area should contact us without delay so that we can keep them informed as we work towards releasing the first homes at Tove Grange for sale.”

Traditional on the outside, bright and modern inside, the homes are sure to be popular with those who want the charm and character of an older property, but the style and convenience of a brand new home.

“People tend to think they want to live in an older property that’s full of character, but often don’t realise just how much time and money they will spend running and renovating it,” Mary commented.

“The homes at Tove Grange will offer the best of both worlds – architecture that gives a nod to the past but with interiors designed to meet the demands of modern family living and convivial open plan layouts that put the kitchen at the heart of the home.”

Kitchens in the homes at Tove Grange will be well-equipped with integrated top brand name appliances including microwave, oven and fridge freezer, plus tall cabinets and extra wide drawers offering plenty of storage for pots and pans. Bathrooms and en-suites will boast quality fixtures and fittings and an exclusive tile range.

“We’re working towards opening the marketing suite at Tove Grange in May and in the meantime potential purchasers can enjoy a taste of things to come thanks to our broadband television channel Redrow.TV,” Mary said.

“It’s a great marketing tool with virtual show home tours so that home buyers can ‘explore’ our homes any time of day or night, from the comfort of their home, office, mobile phone or wherever they access the internet. The video-based website also includes weekly regional news, buying guides to the help available and footage of our customers talking about their new homes.”

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, Towcester is an ancient market town steeped in history; in fact it’s the oldest town in Northamptonshire and the whole central area has been designated a conservation area. Local shops provide for residents’ daily needs; while Northampton and Milton Keynes are easily accessible for those who want to indulge in some serious retail therapy. The town’s good road and rail links means Towcester is well placed as a base for commuters.
