Mosquito Head creating a buzz with her new fashion collection

Emerging fashion designer, Mosquito Head UK aims to offer fashion with a bite with the launch of her new collection. Entitled ‘Stereotypes’ the collection was designed specifically for an alternative fashion show in Birmingham where it was showcased for the first time at the end of March.

Mosquito Head said: “The collection challenges the common perceptions of alternative fashion and offers a range of bold, bright, and flamboyant garments that are elegant and yet unique and fun. They are designed for those who dare to be a little different; for those who want to stand out from the crowd for the right reasons.”

As well as a variety of womenswear, Stereotypes has also seen Mosquito Head venture for the first time into menswear with a range of shirts, waistcoats and trousers.

“I decided to include menswear in this collection as there seems to be little on offer for men who are looking for something a little more quirky for their wardrobe than is offered on the high street. It was a challenge to create garments that were perhaps a little eccentric but still wearable and I’ve been surprised by the positive reception they’ve had so far,” said Mosquito Head. “I’ll definitely be adding more menswear in the future.

The womenswear garments have also been well received and include a selection of couture dresses, as well as silky tops and trousers with unexpected detailing at the back.

Mosquito Head has also designed a range of jewellery and leather masquerade masks, many of which were used to accessorise the garments during the launch show.
