iContact announces integration with LinkedIn

11th April 2012 Print

Vocus, a leading provider of cloud-based marketing and PR software, has announced that its email and social media marketing platform, iContact, now integrates with LinkedIn social networking. This addition will help small and medium-sized businesses share their email campaigns on LinkedIn. It allows posting, tracking and scheduled social posting directly to LinkedIn.

In October 2011, iContact announced improved integration with Facebook and Twitter, including both email integration and standalone social posting and tracking. The addition of LinkedIn profile and group posting adds extra reach to content delivered through iContact, and increases the depth of iContact’s social integration.

“LinkedIn has been the most requested social network by our users,” said Eddie Howard, iContact Product Manager. “Integrating with LinkedIn is a natural step for us. It’s a natural complement to our existing Facebook and Twitter integration.”

iContact already allows email recipients to Like, Tweet, Share, or Google +1 any emails delivered with iContact. Now, with Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn integration complete, iContact users can promote their own campaigns on social networks directly.

The addition of group posting will also allow iContact customers to post content in groups they belong to, own, or administrate. Like, comment and click tracking are all included in the package.

LinkedIn integration is free of charge for iContact customers.
