Award winning housebuilder, Bellway Homes is set to launch a striking new development, Chrysalis, on Saturday 28 April 2012. Located within Edinburgh’s Lochend area and providing a collection of stylish apartments in the heart of the capital, special incentives will be available to prospective buyers to mark the opening.

Situated off Easter Road and offering a substantial choice of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, Chrysalis is sure to resonate with the city’s young professionals, first time buyers and large student population. For a limited period only, purchasers can secure their new home with the option of two of Bellway’s most successful initiatives – either ‘Sharp Start’ or ‘5% Deposit Paid’.

Fraser Conn, Sales and Marketing Director at Bellway Homes, said: “We have already had a considerable level of enquiry for this highly anticipated development. I am confident that when we launch, both the variety of apartments combined with our opening offers will not only continue to generate interest in Chrysalis, but will translate into actual sales.

“However, I would encourage potential buyers to register their interest quickly, particularly if they want to take advantage of either of our shared equity of deposit paid incentives.”

With Bellway’s shared equity initiative - Sharp Start, buyers can secure a home with an 80% mortgage and only a 5% deposit, as the company loans the remaining 15% which is interest free for the first five years. Thereafter, interest will be charged at 1.75% on the loan and will increase by RPI plus 1% every year from then on.

Under the terms of 5% Deposit Paid, Bellway Homes provides a maximum of up to 5% of the purchase price of a property as a contribution towards a buyer’s deposit. The bigger the deposit a buyer puts down the better the interest rate they will receive.

Each apartment at Chrysalis will offer a superior standard specification on completion, including integrated, stainless steel appliances in the kitchens and contemporary en-suites and bathrooms. For added security, there will be audio entry systems and private parking for all residents.

Externally, the landscaping of the development will be built around a courtyard of tended gardens. Many of the ground floor properties will come with terraces and several of the upper level plots will feature balconies from which to enjoy the stunning views over the city and Arthur’s Seat.

Further adding to the appeal of life at Chrysalis is its proximity to the cosmopolitan hub of Scotland’s dynamic capital. Residents can walk to Princes Street with its endless choice high street and independent retailers. Fashionable George Street and Rose Street, with their abundance of bars, cafes, bistros and nightclubs, are also within easy reach. An array of art, cultural and leisure amenities are also available to residents at Chrysalis, via the city’s innumerable galleries, museums and theatres.

Leith’s thriving Shore district is minutes away and offers a host of intimate pursuits including the world renowned Martin Wishart’s restaurant as well as quaint independent retailers, bars, cafes and seafood restaurants.
Prices at Chrysalis will be released shortly. To register your interest in the development, visit bellway.co.uk.
