Developer Lovell is helping homebuyers at its Parc Eglwys development at Bassaleg, just north-west of Newport, and its Maes Halley, Parc Dewi Sant development at Llanfaes, Brecon, by enabling them to double their deposit through the company’s Match and Move scheme.

Through Match and Move, Lovell will match a deposit of up to ten per cent of the purchase price of a new Lovell home with an interest-free, ten-year loan – making a total combined deposit of up to 20 per cent. The offer is currently available on selected properties at the Bassaleg and Brecon developments. A Match and Move event for first-time buyers at the Maes Halley marketing suite on Thursday, 31 May, from 5pm to 7pm will help them find out more about this great incentive.

“We know how first-time buyers struggle to find the large deposits many lenders require, while it can be equally hard for families or couples looking to move up the ladder,” says Lovell regional sales manager Kate Rees. “The bigger deposit made possible by Match and Move can make a major difference to affordability. Some buyers can afford the whole deposit, but would like to reserve some of the money to pay for the cost of furnishing and decorating a new home. By matching a buyer’s deposit, we can help bring the cost of a mortgage down – and make it possible for you to move into the home you really want.”

How Match and Move works

Lovell will match a buyer’s deposit of between five and ten per cent on the price of a new Lovell home. The ten-year loan is interest free, with buyers owning 100 per cent of their property. Buyers can pay the loan back at any time within the ten years (by up to three instalments) or at the end of the ten years.

Homes currently available at Parc Eglwys, Bassaleg, through Match and Move include the Westwood, three-bedroom, mid-terrace house style, priced at £179,950, and benefitting from two parking spaces. The ground-floor accommodation features a spacious living room, kitchen/dining room with French windows, cloakroom and hall. Upstairs is the master bedroom with en-suite facilities, two further bedrooms and the family bathroom. Match and Move is also being offered on the three-bedroom, Bowood house style, priced at £184,995.

“Properties have sold very quickly at Parc Eglwys with buyers attracted by the opportunity to live in a village, with great countryside nearby, yet have easy access to Bristol and Swansea because it’s so quick to get to the M4,” says Lovell regional sales manager Kate Rees. Junction 28 of the M4 is just over a mile from the development. “Newport is on hand for shops and entertainment, with Cardiff not far away, and there’s also a wide choice of outdoor leisure activities locally, including a wetland nature reserve and the Cwm Hedd fishing lakes.”

The Parc Eglwys marketing suite and show homes are open from 10am to 5pm daily at 15 Viaduct Way, Bassaleg, Newport, NP10 8FN.

Homes available at Maes Halley, Parc Dewi Sant, Llanfaes, Brecon, through Match and Move include the two-bedroom Denbigh house style, at £151,950, and the Powys, two-bedroom semi-detached house style, at £157,500. There is also the three-bedroom Conwy house style at £195,000. The development lies in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park yet just a short walk from Brecon town centre.

The Lovell marketing suite and show homes at Maes Halley, Parc Dewi Sant, Llanfaes, Brecon, LD3 8LU are open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm, and Sunday, 12 noon to 5pm.
