Brother strengthens mobile printing range
Brother is expanding its range of mobile printing solutions to support field-based workers requiring high quality on-site print outs in challenging, fast-paced environments.
Targeting workforces across sectors such as logistics, public safety, emergency services, field sales and manufacturing, Brother’s RJ series provide a robust, durable mobile print solution, designed to produce fast, reliable results whilst withstanding harsh conditions.
The RJ 4030 and RJ 4040 printers produce 4” sized receipts and labels using direct thermal technology, which means there is no need for ink or toner – making them a perfect solution for producing field-based print outs such as customer invoices, on-the-spot notices or fines, shipping labels and statements of work.
The machines offer fast print speeds of 127.4mm/second and high level of connectivity (the RJ-4040 has USB, serial and wireless) ensuring workers can produce high quality print outs, wherever they are working from.
The range offers excellent durability as well as efficiency. It has IP45 accreditation, an ingress protection rating, which offers protection against dust and water sprayed from all directions. The machines also proved their hardwearing by remaining intact after being dropped from 1.8 meters during testing. Designed to be portable, the printers are also lighter than many competitor models, weighing only 850g – perfect for warehouse workers or traffic wardens who are on their feet throughout their day.
The 4” mobile print global market is expected to double in size between now and 2016; reflecting the increased usage of mobile devices and growing requirement to produce receipts or confirmation documents while on-site or in the field.
The RJ range will extend and enhance Brother’s existing mobile printing solutions, enabling companies to select the most appropriate functions and design qualities to support their workforce.
The machines can be even further tailored to meet your business needs with the wide range of available accessories, such as an in-car mount, providing ease of use when on the road, a magnetic card reader to process credit card transactions.
Phil Jones, sales and marketing director at Brother UK, said, “Equipping field-based workers with the right mobile technology solution can dramatically improve productivity and customer service. By eliminating the need to return to the office to print out important documents such as invoices, quotes or notices, more transactions can be completed each day, order errors or issues can be reduced and customers get a faster, smoother service. We’ve developed the RJ range to provide teams with the ability to produce high quality results and the assurance that their technology will withstand any tough environment.”
