Oozing charm and character on the outside, new Redrow homes in Sherburn in Elmet are practical, stylish and full of mod cons inside.

Designed with modern living in mind, the traditional looking homes at Saxon Court boast many of the features people look for when choosing a new home including ample storage space, somewhere to keep the washing machine and open plan layouts.

Patsy Aicken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), explains: “A recent survey carried out for the Royal Institute of British Architects echoes our own research, which helped shape our popular New Heritage Collection. We both found that homebuyers are influenced by the homes they lived in previously and want a home which has ‘period’ features, but is practical too.

“Our homes already offer many of the things that the RIBA report says people want and need from their home. For example, the report says people want a large main living area for eating, entertaining and relaxing and the Cambridge at Saxon Court enables home owners to do just that. A spacious open plan kitchen, dining area and family room is at the heart of the home.

“Another must-have is space for essential household items and in the Cambridge there’s a utility room which offers a convenient space that keeps the washer, dryer and boiler out of the kitchen, as well as providing additional cupboard space.”

Just six homes are still available at Saxon Court, all four-bedroom properties, with prices from £267,999.

The Cambridge show home is among the final homes and is available fully furnished for £289,999.

All of the homes boast well-equipped kitchens with integrated top brand name appliances including microwave, oven and fridge freezer, plus tall cabinets and extra wide drawers that offer plenty of storage.

They also enjoy the convenience of a downstairs cloaks and en-suite to master bedroom to complement the family bathroom, all of which benefit from quality fixtures and fittings.

And with part exchange available, even those with a home of their own to sell could find they’re able to make a move to one of the final homes at Saxon Court.

“Buyers can save time and money with part exchange as we will buy their old home so that they can buy one of ours. With no complicated chains to delay moving day and no estate agent’s fees to pay, it’s the smart way to climb the property ladder,” Patsy added.
