HSBC Business Banking goes android
HSBC's popular Business Banking app, which allows customers to access their business accounts at any time and from anywhere in the world, is now available to hundreds of thousands more of its customers as an Android app, HSBC Commercial Bank announced today.
The original app, already available for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, has proved to be a huge success with tens of thousands of HSBC business banking customers already choosing to manage their accounts using the convenience of the app. The new Android app provides the same pioneering functionality, including the ability to set up new beneficiaries while mobile.
Blackberry users are benefitting from enhanced web content too, and will also be able to set up new beneficiaries while mobile, making life a little more convenient for businesses who need this added flexibility if they are not necessarily tied to a desk.
Steve Price, Head of Business Banking at HSBC, said: "Mobile phones with the Android operating system are getting ever more popular, and have even over-taken the iPhone in terms of sales. Our new Android app gives users the same convenience and unrivalled functionality on the move as apple users, wherever they are in the world.
"We were extremely proud to have been voted Best Online Banking Provider for the second year running at the Business Moneyfacts Awards 2012. The feedback we are getting from businesses that are using the app and the web version is very positive, and now HSBC Business Banking customers with an Android device can enjoy an app with market-leading functionality. We look forward to continued digital development as we work hard to keep one step ahead for our business customers."
In addition to the introduction of the Android app, available on the Android Play Store, HSBC has also updated the app on the Apple AppStore, and now includes ‘multi-tasking'. This update allows the user to accept a phone call whilst using internet banking, without losing the info already input.
