With less than a year to go, excitement is building for the much anticipated British & Irish Lions Tour to Australia 2013.

The British & Irish Lions head down under in June next year to what is considered a must-see destination for both rugby fans and players alike. Not only are the Australians passionate about the sport and therefore the atmosphere sure to be lively, away from the stadiums there are also unique sights to explore such as the Great Barrier Reef, Uluru (Ayers Rock) and the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Gullivers Sports Travel is an Official Agent of Lions Rugby Travel for The Lions Tour. Its wide variety of official fully escorted tours to Australia include packages to watch all three Tests, two Tests and longer tours to take in provincial matches. As well as stays in Australia’s top destinations, Gullivers tours feature exclusive social events, such as its Wine Day in Melbourne, Big Pubs and Rugby Forums with ex internationals.

Gullivers is also offering the unique opportunity to watch The Lions play The Barbarians in Hong Kong.

Alister Strahan, General Manager of Gullivers Sports Travel, said: “We have a long history with The British & Irish Lions and as an Official Agent of Lions Rugby Travel, we are delighted to provide Lions supporters with official travel and match tickets.

As well as the knowledgeable tour managers and security that booking with a protected tour operator brings, travelling with Gullivers gives access to exclusive events, diverse itineraries and camaraderie amongst fellow fans that is second to none.

This Test series is all about pride. We were there when The Lions last beat Australia in 1989 and the winning atmosphere was electric – hopefully the team will be on top form once more to give us a tournament to remember.”

Prices start from £4,625pp for the ‘Possum Pink’ tour (27th June – 8th July 2013) including official Test match tickets for the 2nd and 3rd Tests, return economy flights from London Heathrow, 3* accommodation on B&B basis in Melbourne and Sydney, internal flight Melbourne to Sydney, airport transfers, access to a Gullivers Big Pub event, tour manager and tour merchandise. Optional sightseeing and excursions can be arranged on request. Six day packages to watch The Lions v The Barbarians start from £1,849pp.
