Camping is fun... which is why around 1.2 million families regularly choose to pack up their tent, hook up their caravan or jump in their motor homes. But pitching up in the middle of field with not much more than a portaloo might be taking it a bit too far for some families. Haven holiday parks offer touring and camping facilities on 23 of their parks which are all dotted around the coastline.  Most of the touring and camping areas are on the edge of the parks offering peace and tranquillity but with a whole range of activities and entertainment to enjoy as and when you want them and all included in the price of the pitch.

There are a range of pitches available from flat grassy ones ideal for tents to hard-standing Euro and Premier pitches with electricity and waste water disposal.

Each park offers something unique, Perran Sands in Cornwall is a surfers paradise. So much so that when Haven built their shiny new shower blocks they themed them in surfer style with surf boards and beach huts kids can't wait to shower in them! Prices start from £41 per pitch per night based 18 August 7 night stay on a grass electric pitch.

Pitch up further along the coast in Dorset at Littlesea and you'll be rewarded with gorgeous views of the Fleet Lagoon and Chesil Beach. The best time to go to Weymouth is now many people were put off by the Olympics but actually the roads are quieter than a normal summer!  Prices start from £56 per pitch per night based on a 18 August 7 night stay on a grass electric pitch and you will receive a £10 food voucher when you book three or four nights or £20 when you book 7 or 14 nights. Prices start from £56 per pitch per night based 18 August 7 night stay on a grass electric pitch.

Caister in Norfolk is the oldest holiday park in the UK and over a century ago you would only see rows of traditional Bell tents and a standpipe in the middle for water. These days you can take your tourer or motorhome and camp in luxury.  All pitches have reinforced grass bases, grass awning and parking next to the pitch. They also have tv point, drinking water, electric hook up and waste water disposal. Prices start from £57 per pitch per night based 18 August 7 night stay on a Euro pitch.

Hafan Y Mor in North is the newest touring development complete with views of Mount Snowdon. There's also a brand new shower block with plenty of toilets and showers, hairdryers, shaving points, baby changing facilities and spacious family shower rooms, finished off with under-floor heating to keep those toes toasty! Prices start from £69 per pitch per night based 18 August 7 night stay on a Euro pitch.

At all of their 23 touring parks guests can expect heated shower blocks, covered dishwashing facilities and the option to upgrade to one with electricity, water and drainage - with dedicated wardens on hand at most parks to help ensure your touring holiday goes without a hitch (handy for camping and caravanning novices!)

And you'll be able to enjoy the use of heated indoor and outdoor leisure pools, sports facilities and a comprehensive package of new and exciting daytime activities in the kid's clubs including fossil making and beach scrambles and there's plenty of family entertainment in the evening too. All of which are included in your pitch price! Other facilities available include climbing walls, fishing, golf and even spas!
