Tahiti and her islands finds cure for “PED syndrome”

As the Brits slowly emerge from the Olympic fever, many across the nation have been left suffering from “PED syndrome” also known as “post event depression”, but don’t be alarmed as Tahiti and her islands may hold the cure.

For those inspired by the recent British gold rush, why not set the pace in paradise and participate in the first Tahiti Nui Half Marathon, to be held on Saturday 3rd November 2012.

Bask in the beauty of French Polynesia before taking part in the half marathon, which is open to runners of all levels. The 21.1km course runs along the east coast starting from Tiarei, and then weaving its way through stunning scenery of jagged cliffs, black sands and picturesque towns and villages, before finishing in Papeete, amidst the lush green landscape.

A “marathon village” will also be set up in the Paofai gardens of Papeete along the lagoon with views over the harbour and will be open from Wednesday 31st October. A number of cultural events will be held in the marathon village and in the town of Papeete including demonstrations of traditional dances and sports, and art and craft activities.
