Wrap your man up the right way

Extra thin, extra safe, ribbed , studded and even ‘glow in the dark’, there is a huge range of condoms available, so  it is surprising that it has taken until now for the first fair trade condoms to hit UK shelves.

Fair Squared believe that anything and everything can be fair trade and their ethical and eco condoms are no exception.

Made using fair trade rubber sourced from responsibly managed plantations in south India, the condoms are produced by a carbon neutral manufacturer based in Germany. Furthermore, Fair Squared condoms are guaranteed and certified with a CE mark and tested to the highest possible standards, so you can be certain they are every bit as safe as other brands.

What’s more, Fair Squared are committed to making fair trade products available ‘to all’, so you won’t find premium price tags on their products. In fact their condoms are cheaper than some of the mainstream ‘non’ fair trade brands, so you’ve no reason not to wrap your man up the right way.

Fair Squared condoms are now available in selected Waitrose stores, all NUS stores and through independent ethical and health stores. RRPs are just £2.59 for a three pack and £7.49 for a ten pack with original, forte (extra strong), aroma, ultra-thin, max performance (see below), X-Large and variety packs available.

Why Fair Squared Condoms are fair trade: A fair price is paid to rubber plantation workers plus a fair trade premium, which goes into a fund jointly administered by the management and the workers for projects to improve living and working conditions.

Why Fair Squared Condoms are eco:  Not only are the condoms produced in a CO2 neutral factory, but the rubber they use comes from responsibly managed plantations. Rubber trees are tapped (groves are cut into their bark and the latex, a kind of sap, is allowed to drip into collection bowls) every day and if tapped responsibly (just a few times a day) the trees can continue to live healthily, and to be farmed, for 25 years or more - meaning less land has to be cleared to plant plantations. This is the way that Fair Squared rubber is collected, but high intensity rubber plantations work in a different manner, tapping the trees up to seven times a day - cutting the trees’ lifespans dramatically and meaning plantations last only a few years before another one has to be created.

Maximising performance: Because we’re all built differently - these condoms are Fair Squared snuggest fitting condom and have also been created to enhance sustained performance, with an integrated potency ring built into the design.
