Debenhams has launched the answer to every woman’s prayers – a boot to take them from day to night in a matter of seconds.

Available in stores, online and through the mobile app, the boot is by designer Betty Jackson, and can be worn as both a casual, ankle style Chelsea boot and as a completely different, smarter knee-high look for evening, by making a quick and easy switch.

For years, women everywhere have faced the conundrum of how to quickly and effortlessly freshen up their work look after a day in the office, and to make themselves look different and ready for a night out without taking up time, money or effort.

The 2 in 1 leather Betty Jackson.Black boot costs just £120, and is available in both black and brown. The innovative product was developed after customer research showed that women wanted a quick and simple solution to the problem of shaking up their work look to take it from day to evening.

Says Natelle Baddeley, Head of Accessories Design at Debenhams; “This boot is the ultimate choice in footwear for fashion-savvy recessionistas. Women are being more and more careful with their cash than before, but still want to invest in great quality and design.

“We wanted to offer our customers that little bit extra, so thought what better than two on-trend, stylish boots for the price of one!”

The style appears in store as a knee-high, traditional leather boot, with buckle detail to the side and back. The top section of the boot is held in place with a fastening underneath, that can be easily slipped over the heel and removed to reveal a chic Chelsea style boot with elasticated detail to each side panel.

The boot costs £120 and is available in stores in black/black and brown/black combinations for autumn/winter 2012. The boot is designed by fashion favourite Betty Jackson, the established London-based designer.
