New homes ready and waiting in North Manchester
With readymade homes available, buyers could find that a move to a brand new home in North Manchester is closer than they think, even if they don’t have a large cash deposit.
Redrow is building new homes in Moston and Harpurhey, where customers have the chance to defer paying up to a quarter of the price for up to 10 years through its easi:buy scheme.
The incentive helps reduce the cost of homeownership and means that buying a brand new home is a viable alternative to renting or buying an older property that’s likely to need lots of work.

Two bedroom homes are available from £104,995 or an initial outlay of only £78,746 with easi:buy. Three-bedroom homes are priced from £129,995, easi:buy price £97,496; while four-bedroom homes on the open market at £132,995 can be snapped up for £99,746 with easi:buy.
The deferred payment scheme is run in conjunction with Manchester City Council.
“The deferred payment option means that buyers can look forward to lower monthly mortgage repayments, which should compare favourably against the rent they would pay for a similar property. They should also find that they only need a relatively small deposit of around 5% of the purchase price, so they could step on or up the property ladder much sooner than if they were to buy on the open market,” Claire explains.
