First-time buyers off to a Great Start in Standish

Local housebuilder Morris is helping Wigan first-time buyers get on the property ladder by offering its Great Start scheme at the Worthington Park development, off Chorley road.

The scheme means that first-time buyers can put down as little as a five per cent deposit – a huge relief for househunters as recent research shows that raising a deposit is still the main concern for 33 per cent of first-time buyers.

Great Start means first-time buyers can purchase their new home for 80 per cent of the market value, significantly reducing their monthly payments. The remaining 20 per cent can either be paid back over 10 years or when the house is sold – whichever is sooner.

Chris Minshall, regional sales director for Morris, said, “Todays first-time buyers are under a lot of pressure when looking for the right home, which is why we are offering Great Start at Worthington Park.

“We have had a lot of interest in this particular scheme as the number of first-time buyers is at an all-time high and everyone wants the best possible deal. Those interested in Worthington Park need to head down to the site soon to avoid missing out on the remaining properties.”

Worthington Park features a variety of high-quality homes and apartments arranged next to the River Douglas.

The development is close to Wigan and Standish Town Centre and has easy access to the local motorway network for those commuting to Manchester and Liverpool.

Chris added: “The area offers the perfect setting for those wanting peace and quiet but with good amenities close by.”

There is currently a range of apartments and three bedroom homes available at Worthington Park with prices starting from £104,750 for the apartments and £169,750 for the houses.
