The Cornerhouse searches for models for festive fashion show makeover
Do you know someone who really deserves a bit of pampering and the chance to have a fantastic festive fashion makeover?
The Cornerhouse is searching for models to strut their stuff at a charity Fashion Show at The Forum on Wednesday 21 November.
Nottingham’s leading leisure and entertainment complex is teaming up with Stick and Ribbon, based in the city’s Flying Horse Walk Arcade, to offer makeovers and personal styling advice to lucky wannabe models.
The models will be treated to a style analysis from the experts at Stick and Ribbon and they will have the chance to show off their new looks on the catwalk at the annual event.
Pippa Rees, director at Stick and Ribbon said: “We are really delighted to be working with The Cornerhouse again this year on their winter Fashion Show. At Stick & Ribbon we offer real women, genuine style advice, so that they look and feel fantastic.
“This fashion show is all about showcasing how we can all be fabulous in what we wear, particularly if we understand which styles suit our body shape best. As stylists and image consultants, we can use our expertise to make sure that you every women buys clothes they love and will actually wear.”
The Fashion Show is being organised to raise money for the MS Society, The Cornerhouse’s chosen charity for the year, and will include free fashion and beauty advice, plus Christmas cocktails and canapés served from 7.30pm in The Forum, with the Fashion Show starting at 8.30pm.
The Cornerhouse centre manager, Suzanne Green, said: “The Fashion Show is the perfect night out. You can pick up some fantastic fashion tips from the experts at Stick and Ribbon and help to raise money for the MS Society.
“It’s also a great opportunity to nominate someone really special for a makeover, giving them the perfect pre-Christmas pick me up.”
To nominate someone for a makeover, email details of why you feel they deserve this extra special treat, to style[at]@stickandribbon.com before Friday 9th November. A panel of judges will decide on the winners and will be in touch with more details.
Tickets for the Fashion Show are on sale now priced at £5 and include a glass of fizz, or you can upgrade to a £10 VIP ticket. This includes a fantastic seat close to all the catwalk action plus a drink on arrival and a free goody bag.
