Figures compiled by the online property portal Zoopla show that, since the start of the recession, people have been shunning traditional starter pads in favour of larger family homes.

According to Zoopla, since 2006, the proportion of three and four-bedroom properties sold rose from 58% to 63%. Also, in a survey of more than 100 housebuilders carried out by Knight Frank estate agency, 95% reported demand for four bedroom houses. Potential purchases are being urged to view the hugely popular Scholars Grange development in Duston, as only two 4 bedroom properties remain available.

The Hanbury housetype is a spacious four bedroom detached family home which features a double garage, spacious lounge with bay window and an open plan kitchen and dining area, with a glazed roof. Upstairs you’ll find three double bedrooms and a master bedroom that benefits from an en-suite and fitted wardrobes. There is also a large family bathroom and utility room.

The Clovelly housetype is a popular four bedroom detached home with integral garage. Downstairs it features a large lounge with bay window, with an open plan family area, dining room and fitted kitchen with utility room with French doors opening out onto the rear garden. Upstairs there are four generous double bedrooms (two of which benefit from en suite facilities), with the master bedroom benefitting from fitted wardrobes. This property also comes with stamp duty, flooring and turf to the rear garden.

Both properties also offer the Part exchange scheme which means that choosing to upsize at Scholars Grange couldn’t be easier! Bloor Homes offer to exchange your old home for 105% of its market value, meaning you do not have to worry about selling your current home and the whole purchase process can be completed in a matter of weeks. All estate agent fees and valuations are taken care of for the buyer.

Bloor Homes will determine the market value of a purchaser’s present home by asking three local estate agents to provide a valuation of the property, based on the price the agent believes the property will achieve for an immediate sale. For a limited period, Bloor Homes will offer 105% of this sale price.

Both homes have impressive green credentials for high energy efficiency and low environmental impact. Along with this, they both provide enviable space and luxury for family living that adheres to all necessary modern sustainability methods to help lower energy costs each month.
