Buyers in Middleton can start the New Year in style with local housebuilder Morris as there are a range of new homes available at the Sovereign Gate development on Manchester Old Road.

There are several two, three and four-bedroom homes ready to move into at the popular development and Morris is also offering the government-led FirstBuy scheme to help first time buyers.

Under the initiative people can significantly reduce their monthly payments and only need to put down five per cent deposit as they purchase their new home at 80 per cent of its market value.

In another effort to help first timers Morris is offering furniture packages on selected properties including everything from sofas and beds to crockery for the kitchen.

Chris Minshall, regional sales director for Morris, said: "We understand that the process of buying a first home is a whole new experience and can seem quite daunting. We want to make the process as easy possible which is why we have made this scheme and package available.

“New build homes are ideal for first-time buyers as they are subject to greater sustainability and energy efficient building regulations so further savings can be made on energy bills.”

Sovereign Gate is perfectly located, with the shops, schools and essential amenities of Middleton town on its doorstep and Manchester City Centre is less than 6 miles away.

Prices at Sovereign Gate start from £147,750. For more information on the properties and schemes available visit the sales office off Manchester Old Road, M24 4GF (open daily from 10:30am to 5:30pm), or visit morrishomes.co.uk.
