Kids just love the Pyramids!

February half-term marks the first point of the year that families can climb on a plane to escape the long UK winter and have some seriously adventurous fun in the sun.

Families Worldwide still has plenty of availability for those who have yet to make up their minds; here are just a few suggestions:

Discover ‘Rural Andalucia’

Wear the kids out on the action-packed Rural Andalucia trip to southern Spain departing 16 February. Families can choose from a menu of activities which includes a treasure hunt, riding a donkey, learning Spanish, touring an organic vineyard, spending a day on the farm, learning to cook paella, basket weaving and milking a goat! The holiday is centre-based at a restored traditional villa, thus avoiding lots of packing and unpacking. It costs from £229 per child (aged 1-10) and £499 per adult which includes all land transportation (not flights), 7 nights’ half-board, activities and a tour leader.

Taj & Tigers

Towards the end of last year, the ban in over 40 Indian nature reserves preventing tourists from visiting was lifted by the Supreme Court, allowing access once again. Families Worldwide has an 11-day trip called Taj and Tigers and highlights include a tour of Jaipur, a tour of Old Delhi, a train ride to Ajmer, the iconic Taj Mahal, the Amber Fort, an elephant ride, a rickshaw ride, a Bollywood film (optional), sunset camel ride and a tiger safari drive in the Ranthambhore National Park. The holiday departs on 14 February and costs from £719 per child (min. age 5) and £749 per adult. This includes all land transportation (not flights), 9 nights’ B&B (plus 3 lunches & 4 dinners), activities as detailed and a tour leader.

Kasbahs & Camels

Soak up the warm North African sunshine on the 8-day Kasbahs & Camels trip to Morocco departing 16 February. The group will head across the Atlas Mountains via ancient Ait Benhaddou – as seen in the film Gladiator – to learn about the life of the Berber tribes, staying in mountain villages. Also included is the fishing port of Essaouira on the Atlantic coast, with camel rides along the beach. The itinerary ends in Marrakech with a chance to shop for souvenirs in the souks, stepping back in time as the square comes to life at dusk with musicians, acrobats and food vendors. The holiday costs from £419 per child (min. age 5) and £439 per adult which includes all land transportation (not flights), 7 nights’ accommodation, most meals and a tour leader.

Nile Cruise in Egypt

Discover the ancient wonders of Egypt on the 9-day Nile Cruise, departing 16 February 2013. Highlights include the Pyramids and Egyptian Museum in Cairo, learning to write in hieroglyphics, an overnight train ride to Aswan, a camel trek, a donkey ride to the Valley of the Kings, and a three-night cruise on the River Nile to Luxor visiting places en route. At Luxor, enjoy a Calesh ride to Karnak Temple before flying back to Cairo. The trip now costs from £599 per child (min. age 2) and £649 per adult (saving £100 pp) which includes all land transportation (not flights), 8-nights’ accommodation, most meals and a tour leader.

Flight-inclusive prices are available for all holidays on request.
