New Chelsea FC credit card for UK fans

Chelsea Football Club has announced a new and improved Chelsea FC credit card in association with MBNA.

The Chelsea FC credit card, available to UK-based fans, has been launched as part of a renewed five-year credit card partnership with MBNA and offers eligible new customers 16 months at zero per cent interest on balance transfers and three months at zero per cent on purchases.

As an extra incentive for Chelsea supporters, the card also offers a free replica home shirt for fans who successfully apply for the new credit card and make a £200 financial transaction on their card within 90 days of their account being opened.

Ron Gourlay, Chelsea FC's chief executive, said: "Over the years, we have forged a close, successful relationship with MBNA and, together, we have developed a competitive credit card programme for our supporters in the UK.

"We look forward to another five years with MBNA and to continuing to provide quality products for our supporters. This is a unique opportunity for UK-based fans and helps to support the development of Chelsea FC's future stars."

The card also offers fans club-based rewards, where for every pound spent, supporters receive one point which can be redeemed for official Chelsea merchandise.

In place since 2002, the Chelsea credit card partnership is one of MBNA's most successful, with thousands of fans in the UK already holding a credit card bearing the club colours and badge.
