A Valentine’s break to the New Forest

At Little Paddock, a collection of 9 Scandinavian-style lodges located on the edge of the New Forest National Park in Hampshire, the emphasis is unashamedly on romance and they have put together a special romantic 3-night Valentine’s break from £199 pp.

The price includes a dozen red roses on arrival, a bottle of champagne and chocolates, and a romantic meal at a local Italian restaurant (with taxi).

The lodges at the ‘adult only’ complex are each designed for just two people and have names – including ‘Love in the Mist’ – and features that make no bones about the fact that once you arrive, love will be in the air.

Triangular in shape, three of the lodges have circular beds (with heart-shaped pillows!), one has a four-poster bed, there are two hot tubs (Snowdrop Cottage has a private tub) and guests can expect to arrive with petals on the bed.*

Little Paddock is owned and run by Sue & Brett Jones, who turned their back on the rat race to create their romantic forest hideaway. They live on site to look after guests, and can prepare meals made with New Forest ingredients, sourced from a local farm, which can then be warmed-up in the privacy of the lodges.

There are also three delightful B&B rooms available in owners Brett & Sue Jones’s main house, within the site, each of which can be accessed privately through French doors.

Little Paddock also has 2 hot tubs and a tennis court, and the complex is right on the border of Avon Heath Country Park, so it is possible to enjoy walks direct from the back gate, leaving the car behind.

The lodges are ideally located with the New Forest villages just a short drive away, and with Ringwood, Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Southampton, Salisbury and Portsmouth all within easy reach

*Furnishings vary from lodge to lodge.
