Post Office offers £30 towards winter fuel payments with Over 50s Life Cover

The Post Office is offering customers £30* towards their winter fuel bills when they take out Over 50s Life Cover.

Starting from as little as £7 per month, customers can take the first steps to guaranteeing loved ones with a fixed lump sum and having peace of mind about catering for their relatives' future.

Available until 31 March 2013, the offer is guaranteed if you are a UK resident aged between 50 and 80.

Paul Havenhand, Head of Insurance at Post Office said: "It is important that people plan ahead should the unexpected happen and a simple life plan can provide financial reassurance to those concerned.  In a time of such uncertainty people need peace of mind more than ever, which is why we are offering instant protection over the counter.

"We encourage people when choosing Over 50s Life Cover to ensure they are selecting the right level of cover for their needs, so the correct premium is essential.

"By offering £30 towards winter fuel bills, we recognise that customers will have higher winter fuel bills than this time last year but unchanged winter fuel payments. We also want to get people thinking about the future and as winter can be very difficult for many people, especially for the Over 50s, there is no better time."
