As the season shifts towards spring, and we enjoy the benefits of longer daylight whilst temperatures slowly push the mercury up, buyers looking to catch some extra sunshine should check out Taylor Wimpey West Scotland’s latest incentive.

On selected new homes, buyers who reserve by 31 March, 2013 will receive £1,000 holiday vouchers on completing their contractual missive meaning they could be enjoying a sun-soaked holiday even before they move-in!

Recent research has revealed that deep down we are first and foremost a nation of home lovers at heart. An independent study carried out for national home builder Taylor Wimpey revealed that nearly 62% of people in Scotland still aspire to own their own home, with one in three ranking it more important than getting married, having children or building a career.

“When you consider the benefits of buying a new home and incentives such that are available it makes sense to see what we have to offer,” said Audrey Ross, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland. “Owning your own home isn’t just about practical benefits such as a secure long term investment and freedom from landlords. Studies have shown that homeowners are more satisfied with their lives and happier than those in rented accommodation and when you look at the many advantages of buying your own home, it’s not difficult to see why.

“A home is probably the most expensive investment you’ll ever make, and it’s important to make the right decision to ensure it’s a match made in heaven. Choosing a new home over a second hand property could save you thousands on DIY, maintenance and improvements, not to mention ongoing savings in areas such as fuel bills. Add to this the different financial incentives available, and our latest £1,000 holiday voucher on signing your contractual missive and the benefits really do start to add up.”

Taylor Wimpey currently has a number of developments across the west of Scotland offering a wide range of homes and incentives designed to help purchasers make the move into a new home. The Scottish Government supported MI New Home scheme has seen an increase in the availability of 95% loan to value mortgages specifically for new build properties, meaning credit-worthy buyers may now only need to save a 5% deposit to secure their new home.

Audrey Ross, added: “One of the many advantages of a new build property is that we can offer the incentives and flexibility which allow potential purchasers to buy their new home with much lower deposits. Scottish Government supported schemes such as MI New Home are really helping to get the housing market moving again and turning aspiring buyers’ dreams of home ownership into a reality.”

Alternatively, Taylor Wimpey will buy your existing home through its Part Exchange or Easymover scheme which is available on selected plots, making a move to a new home easier than ever. Or buyers can use Taylor Wimpey’s Easystart Shared Equity scheme which has been hugely successful and is available on selected new homes and apartments up to the value of £170,000.
