Leading housebuilder David Wilson Homes South Midlands is pleased to report that there has been clear demand for canalside properties at its Pineham Lock development in Northampton.

Nine canalside homes have already been reserved off plan and the developer has received around 150 enquiries from homebuyers, who are eager to invest in the homes, which sit on the edge of the picturesque and peaceful Grand Union canal.

Jackie Day, Sales Director for David Wilson Homes South Midlands, comments, “There is clear demand for homes at Pineham Lock due to their prime and unique canalside location, with homebuyers keen to put down a deposit on one of the new homes before they have even been built.”

“The development itself has proven really popular with local homebuyers who have been equally impressed with the high quality homes and the development’s ideal location.”

The homebuilder has recently invested £75,000 to improve the canal side adjacent to the development, as part of a planning agreement with Northampton Borough Council. One kilometre of the towpath alongside the canal in Hunsbury Meadows is being renovated.

The improvements will not only make the towpath more attractive to residents, who are able to see the canal from their new home, it will also provide a hard surface which will make walking and cycling to the range of amenities located nearby much easier.

Once completed, the development provide 176 new homes and will offer many advantages to its residents including open spaces for recreational activities, a play area for children and even adventure equipment for older children and adults alike.

Pineham Lock offers something for everyone with a range of one bedroom apartments to five bedroom houses available, with prices starting at £99,995.
