Proton Cars UK increases dealer network by over 50% in 2006

17th January 2007 Print
In 2006 Proton Cars UK welcomed 30 new dealers to the franchise from across the UK, significantly increasing its network. The company now has 90 dealers throughout the UK.

Simon Park, General Manager of Sales and Marketing at Proton said, “Our commitment to dealer recruitment throughout 2006 has given us the opportunity to cover a far greater area of the UK and we are now able to serve considerably more customers.”

Alex Junnier Sales Manager at recently recruited dealer Williams Bridge in New Milton, Hampshire said: “When we were considering other franchises, Proton struck us as a franchise with a good value for money product. As we decided to investigate further we had some very pleasant surprises along the way in everything from the manufacturer’s attitude as a whole, to the positive and speedy reaction to any enquiry by any member of their staff. My advice to any dealer considering the Proton franchise would be twofold; talk to others who have taken the franchise and a must is to drive the cars – both activities are a complete revelation.”

Alex continued, “Joining Proton has been a very refreshing experience. In the very short time we have held the franchise, we have found existing Proton customers to be very loyal to the brand, and indeed we sold our first two cars before we had placed an advert or had a full display!”

Simon Park said, “We believe that dealer recruitment is the key to Proton’s long term business success and we are planning to recruit a further 30 dealers by the end of 2007.”

Following on from a successful year in 2006 in which Proton enjoyed sales growth of 64%, Proton is now looking forward to achieving its sales and dealer recruitment goals in 2007.
