Aspiring home owners are invited to join Redrow at Birch Grange in Rochdale to discover how they could make their first step onto the property ladder with the help of a Government-backed scheme.

FirstBuy is now available, reducing the cost of setting up home by offering customers the chance to take out an equity loan for up to 20% of the purchase price.

To guide customers through the scheme Redrow is hosting a special event this Saturday (March 23).

Claire Jarvis, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), said: “Buying your first home is an exciting time, but it can be daunting too. While people may have heard about incentives such as FirstBuy they may not realise that it’s available at Birch Grange or if they’re eligible for the valuable help. This weekend we’ll be explaining that if you’re a first time buyer with a household income of less than £60,000 you could qualify for FirstBuy. With the help of an equity loan it could enable you to save thousands of pounds off the initial purchase price. Crucially the loan is interest-free for the first five years. And if that wasn’t enough, you should only need a relatively small deposit of around 5% of the price.”

Located in Birch Road in the Wardle area of Rochdale, Birch Grange features a choice of three and four-bedroom homes from the sought-after New Heritage Collection.

Current prices start from £179,995 for a four-bedroom Kenilworth. With FirstBuy this stylish property, set out over three floors, can be snapped up for an initial outlay of £143,996 including a deposit of around £9,000.

“Despite the low price, those who purchase with FirstBuy will still be able to enjoy the benefits of owning a stylish new home with a high specification as standard,” Claire added.

“We include many of the essentials people need when setting up home, such as oven, hob and fridge freezer, all of which are covered by manufacturers’ guarantees.”

Birch Grange is set in an established residential area with local amenities such as a library and shops including a butcher and a bakery.

To discover how FirstBuy could help you buy a brand new home, visit the development this Saturday (March 23).
