Homeowners hoping to climb the property ladder could find they’re just weeks away from moving day with a visit to Parklands in Audenshaw this weekend (March 23 and 24).

Elan Homes is hosting an event to explain the advantages of using part exchange to facilitate a move to a brand new home.

Visitors will be able to discover how quick and simple buying and selling in this way can be.

Andrew Robertson, senior sales manager for Elan Homes in the North, explains: “Deciding you are ready to move is one thing but being in a position to be able to is another. Quite often we find that people want and need to move, generally because their children are growing up and they need more space, but they think they need to sell their current property before agreeing to buy somewhere new. The reality is that they may be able to use part exchange and put the value of their old home towards the cost of a new one. They’ll be able to avoid the hassle of getting caught up in a complicated chain and could move within just four weeks. It really is quite simple and this weekend we’ll be giving visitors a step by step guide to part exchange.”

Parklands features four-bedroom homes in a choice of styles, with current prices from £249,995.

Among the properties available with part exchange is the Brandon, on the market at £269,995.

The combined kitchen, dining area and family room is an inviting, sociable space, which is complemented by the substantial separate lounge spanning from the front to the rear of the property.

Upstairs, the master bedroom benefits from an en-suite to supplement the family bathroom, which is shared by the remaining three bedrooms.

Those who perhaps don’t need all four bedrooms could use one as a home office or a play room.

Residents of Parklands will find there’s plenty to do close to home – from canal-side walks to a round of golf; while the bright city lights of Manchester are only five miles away with a an indoor ski slope, thriving nightlife, bars and restaurants. Or if you want to explore the great outdoors, the Peak District is only 10 miles away.

The city is only a 10 minute train journey from Fairfield station and a new Metrolink stop in Audenshaw is due to become operational in 2013, further improving the already strong transport links that also include easy access to the motorway network.

To find out more about the advantages of part exchange, visit Parklands this weekend (March 23 and 24).
