Snowtime like Easter

If you’re not hopping overseas with the Easter Bunny for snowsports in the mountains you can still enjoy plenty of fun in the snow over the Easter holidays.

The Snow Centre at Hemel Hempstead, North London is the closest real snow to the capital and promises that their Easter snow conditions will be perfect, with fresh snow and carefully groomed slopes throughout the holiday period. And for the rest of the year too as it happens!

Their Easter programme offers sled loads of fun for kids, plenty for families and lots for adults too.

Snow Scooters are new for this year. The Scooters are a real buzz for kids from 7 upwards (including grown up kids) or you can whizz down the slopes on a sledge, which is on offer for kids from as young as four so even littlies can enjoy the Easter snow.

Looking for a family treat on Easter Monday? Family lift passes will give you all an hour on the slopes, half an hour sledging and a soft drink afterwards in the Edge Cafe Bar overlooking the slope for an inclusive price of £79. It’s an eggscellent offer!

And if you’re after more gnarly action The Snow Centre has extended Freestyle Friday nights for the whole day over the holiday period. Learn and practice tricks on rails, boxes and kickers throughout the day on Good Friday, March 5th and 12th April. The parks change every session offering new challenges and different styles every week. Freestyle lift passes are available from £29 on Good Friday or you can top up your pass with an hour of coaching for an extra tenner! A half day junior Rookie Freestyle Ski or Snowboard course costs just £55 or a full day Rookie Freestyle course for adults is available for £95.

Other holiday courses include kids two day ski and snowboard courses from £35 and adult ski and snowboard courses reduced to £69 for a three hour session and £139 for a five hour ‘full day’ course including lunch and drinks.
