Tenerife lures golfers with unbeatable offers for the summer

A number of Tenerife’s world-class golf courses, resorts and hotels have come up with some fantastic offers and special packages to attract even more golf enthusiasts to the island this summer, tempting them with an unbeatable combination of guaranteed sunshine, top notch golf in spectacular surroundings, and great savings on their golfing holiday.

Discounted green fees at Tenerife golf courses

The following golf courses are offering special packages valid from 1 May to 30 September 2013:
 
Golf Las Americas (golflasamericas.com) is offering three green fees for a total of 138 euros (£117) from 1 May to 30 September 2013.  Constructed in an amphitheatre shape facing the sea, this 18-hole course in Arona offers golfers a challenging start and an impressive clubhouse.

Golf del Sur (golfdelsur.es) has a special “Golf Marathon Promotion” which includes a round of 18 holes, one of 9 holes, buggy, lunch or rental clubs plus driving range balls for 138 euros (£117) per person.  Golfers can also take advantage of other offers such as two green fees plus buggy for 125 euros (£106) or three rounds of golf for 140 euros (£118) per person.  The 27-hole Golf del Sur opened in 1987 and has established itself as one of Spain’s best golf courses.

Golf Costa Adeje (golfcostaadeje.com) has a summer package which includes green fee, buggy and full buffet for just 78 euros (£66) for one person or 146 euros (£123) for two people.  Golf Costa Adeje is a 27-hole golf course with traditional stone walled terraces spread across irregular land which was once used for farming.

Unlimited golf at Abama and Tecina

Guests at the Abama Hotel Golf & Spa Resort (abamahotelresort.com) can enjoy unlimited golf when booking an Ocean View Room (except at Tagor Villas) for a minimum of seven nights between 1 May and 30 September 2013.  The offer includes unlimited use of the driving range and range balls, shared buggy equipped with GPS system, and one thermal circuit at the hotel Spa per person per stay.  Alternatively, there is a choice of three, five and seven-night Experience Abama Golf & Spa packages starting from 430 euros (£363) per person with accommodation in a Deluxe Room.

Players can also enjoy unlimited golf at Tecina Golf on La Gomera, staying at Hotel Jardin Tecina. Early bird 10% discount at Vincci Hotels

Vincci Hotels is offering an early bird 10% discount for summer bookings made before 30 April for any of its three hotels in Tenerife.  A seven-night package at the five star Vincci La Plantacion starts from 871 euros (£736) per person (based on two people sharing), and includes four green fees at a choice of four golf courses and one thermal spa circuit per person.  The same package at the five star Vincci Buenavista Golf & Spa, including four green fees at Buenavista Golf, starts from 644 euros (£544) per person.  Or you can stay at the four star Vincci Tenerife Golf for seven nights from 512.50 euros (£433) per person, including four green fees at a choice of four golf courses.  vinccihoteles.com.

Three for two nights at five star Iberostar Hotels

Best value golf hotel packages

Several other hotels in Tenerife are offering special packages for golfers this summer:

The four star Hotel Paradise Park has a golf package from just 373.50 euros (£316) per person (based on two people sharing a superior twin room) including seven nights´ half board accommodation, return transfer service, one round of 18 holes at either Amarilla Golf or Golf del Sur and one “Sparadise” spa circuit per person.  This is a limited offer valid from 1 May to 15 June 2013 and reservations must be made by 30 April by emailing reservations[at]hotelparadisepark.com.

The Costa San Miguel tourist board has launched a special promotion at four hotels in San Miguel de Abona.  Four-night packages including two green fees of 9 holes at either Amarilla Golf or Golf del Sur are available at the Vincci Tenerife Golf hotel from 234.27 euros (£198), the Cordial Golf Plaza hotel from 169.27 euros (£143), the Sandos San Blas hotel from 395.22 euros (£334) or the Aguamarina Golf hotel from 194.27 euros (£164).  Prices are per person based on two sharing.  The offer is valid until 31 October 2013. costasanmiguel.com.
