With only a few properties remaining at Bellway Homes’ hugely popular The Drumlins development, within the North Lanarkshire village of Gartcosh, it’s only a matter of a few weeks before the sold-out sign features on site.

Located off Johnstone Road and offering an impressive collection of three and four-bedroom semi-detached and detached family homes, The Drumlins caught the attention of buyers the moment it launched two years ago and interest has never waned.

Fraser Conn, Sales and Marketing Director at Bellway Homes, says: “The Drumlins is an extremely successful addition to our North Lanarkshire portfolio. The properties on offer, in terms of the design quality and size, are exactly what buyers are looking for in this location.

“Add to that a village setting which provides great accessibility to the major motorway networks across much of the central belt, then it’s of little surprise The Drumlins has received such a positive response.”

The final properties include a well-planned, three-bedroom semi-detached Asquith, featuring spacious lounge, stylish breakfasting kitchen, downstairs cloakroom and en suite master-bedroom, priced from just £164,995.

Also available is The Wellington, a contemporary detached home comprising large lounge, separate dining room, fully fitted kitchen, utility room and downstairs cloakroom, with two of the four-bedrooms having the added luxury of en-suite facilities.

The former showhome, The Wellington (Plot 1), is currently ‘house of the month’ at The Drumlins. This means flooring throughout, light fittings, integrated appliances in the kitchen and an up-to-the-minute multimedia system, as well as several more bespoke extras, are included in the sale of the property, which is priced at £249,995. Further adding to the popular appeal of The Drumlins is the choice of incentives available to buyers, such as Part Exchange, 5% Deposit Paid, Express Mover and the most recent addition – MI New Home.

MI New Home is a 95% mortgage scheme implemented by the house building industry and supported by the Scottish Government, as well as a number of lenders. This incentive aims to help both first time buyers and homeowners secure a new home with between a 5% and 10% deposit on properties up to the value of £250,000.

Fraser Conn comments: “We’ve made sure buyers have a range of options to choose from in order to support their different set of circumstances. Mi New Home was only added to the mix recently, but it’s already proving to be a popular choice. It gives many buyers, whether they’re buying their first home or downsizing, the flexibility of not having to secure a 100% mortgage.”

Originally an agricultural village before becoming home to a major steelworks, Gartcosh is a peaceful location with great access to larger surrounding towns and excellent links to the M73 and M74. Glasgow is just 10 miles away, with Gartcosh railway station offering a direct rail service into the city centre in just 19 minutes.

The village has a strong of community life, from playgroups and dance classes at the church hall to the its own primary school, local amenities and convenience stores, while nearby Coatbridge also offers further amenities including the Faraday Retail Park

Glasgow Fort Shopping Centre and the Showcase Cinema are just a few miles from The Drumlins, along with the Iain Nicolson Recreation Centre with badminton and volleyball courts, gym and fitness facilities, and a health suite.

Close by, Drumpellier Country Park offers a vast former estate with over 500 acres of open space and walks to explore and enjoy.
