Great finds at your local St Peter's Hospice shop

With Summer just around the corner now is the perfect time to update our wardrobes with some of the latest trends for 2013.

‘Sounds expensive’ you think? It doesn’t have to be, as one Bristol charity is demonstrating.

Stocking pre-loved items from Christian Dior, Miss Selfridge, Cath Kidston, Warehouse, Fenn Wright Mason and River Island to name just a few, you’ll be surprised what you might find in one of the 46 St Peter’s Hospice shops across the city.

From fitted macs and floral dresses to summer sandals and pretty blouses, the stores have it all and at half the price of most retailers.

Janet Loud head of shops for the organisation said: “It’s always an expensive time when we move from one season into another. We all like to update our wardrobes with new spring and summer wear but we don’t like to spend a lot of money – especially because summer doesn’t usually last very long!

“We’re encouraging people across Bristol to shop on the high street, particularly in their local St Peter’s Hospice shop, to find some great bargains and some equally stylish garments.

“The generous donations we receive from the public mean we can continue to offer the best prices and styles around.

“Many items still have the labels on and everything we put on the rails is in great condition.

“We are now getting our Springwear ready so please pop into your local store to see what you might find.”

St Peter’s Hospice, now in its 35th anniversary year, is Bristol’s only adult hospice and cares for more than 2,670 patients each year as well as supporting family members. It costs £6.8 million to run the hospice with 77% of that coming from the generosity of public support.

With shops in Bedminster, Backwell, Knowle, Kingswood, Keynsham, Yate, Horfield, Long Ashton, Chipping Sodbury, Whitchurch, Hanham and Bristol City Centre as well as many others, you will never be far from your nearest shop.

Janet continued: “You can buy a whole outfit including shoes, bags and jewellery from one of our shops for under £20, which I think is fabulous. Retail therapy is just what we all need sometimes and now you have no excuse not to!

“Or if you’re having a winter wardrobe clear out please donate to us so we can continue to stock our stores!”
