The doors to three new show homes on the site of what was once a Middle Iron Age village in Barton Seagrave open this weekend (May 18 & 19).

Redrow is inviting homebuyers to visit Castlefields to view the properties and get a feel of what life could be like if they choose to move to a brand new home.

They will be able to look around professionally styled and fully furnished examples of the Letchworth and Warwick housetypes, each with three bedrooms, and the four-bedroom Oxford.

Tonia Tyler, head of sales for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), commented: “It’s hundreds of years since dwellings last occupied the site off Polwell Lane and we’ve been working hard to bring the land back into good use to provide new homes. Even before construction work was underway we were building a database of potential purchasers and we’re looking forward to welcoming them into the show homes. We’re confident that they will be impressed by the combination of traditional Arts & Crafts exteriors and bright modern interiors.

“Viewing show homes is an important part of the home buying process and by looking around the three properties buyers will be able to get a feel for the different layouts and appreciate the high quality finish we offer as standard to help them decide which best suits their lifestyle.”

Externally the Letchworth may have architectural features reminiscent of a 1930s’ semi, but inside it’s bright and modern. There’s an open plan kitchen and dining room, a separate lounge plus a laundry and downstairs cloaks. A curved staircase leads to the first floor, where the master bedroom benefits from an en-suite with the remaining two bedrooms sharing the family bathroom.

The Warwick too gives a nod to the past with its impressive larchlap boarding that enhances the roofline and a decorative door cornice that creates an elegant entrance. Inside it boasts Redrow’s high specification with a well equipped kitchen and quality fixtures and fittings throughout.

The largest of three show homes is the four-bedroom Oxford. As with all new Redrow homes it enjoys a convivial open plan layout that puts the kitchen at the heart of the home. The combined kitchen and dining room leads to a utility, which provides a dedicated space for the washer and dryer and also offers additional storage space.

Located above the lounge, the master bedroom has a feature bay window.

Current availability at Castlefields includes three and four-bedroom homes in a choice of styles. Prices start from £203,950 for a three-bedroom semi-detached property.

To experience all that a brand new Redrow home has to offer, visit the development open from this weekend (May 18&19).
