Pearl Regatta 2013 sets sail in Tahiti and her islands

Now in its 10th year, the Tahiti Pearl Regatta took to the blue waters of Tahiti and her islands on 8th – 12th May 2013.

Considered the most important regatta in the South Pacific, participation is open to all types of sailboats, resulting in a friendly and competitive sailing event.

The race changes route every year giving sailors the chance to discover each sparkling lagoon, and this year the vessels of all shapes and sizes sailed through Raiatea, Huahaine, Bora Bora and Taha’a.

After a day on the water, participants are invited to sample the local Tahitian customs with evening festivities including traditional dancing, singing and local cuisine.
