Award-winning, specialist UK operator Bamboo Travel is going to reduce the price of many of its trips to Indonesia by around £100 per person, following the announcement that Garuda Indonesia is to commence a new non-stop service between London and Jakarta on 2nd November 2013.

It will be the only direct non-stop flight between the UK and Indonesia available reducing journey times by 3-4 hours.

Comments Robin Ball, Director of Bamboo Travel: “This is welcome news indeed; changing planes no-matter where you are going is always a total pain so this new direct flight to Jakarta will not only make life easier, it will cut a huge chunk off the total journey time.

“It also means that once we have finished number crunching, we can expect to knock around £100 off all holidays to the region that use the new service.”

Bamboo Travel offers a choice of six different tours to Indonesia with combinations of Java, Bali, Borneo, Sumatra and Lombok, including the popular two-week Highlights of Java and Bali.

Perfect for first time visitors, the itinerary showcases the cultural and scenic beauty of Indonesia which includes a journey by train from central Java to east Java, and then a boat trip across the 4 mile strait to Bali.

The many highlights along the way include the world famous Buddhist monument of Borobudur, the chance to see sunrise at the awe-inspiring landscapes of Mount Bromo, the lush rainforests of the Ijen Plateau and Bali's artistic and cultural heartland around Ubud.

The tour also includes time at the unspoilt fishing village of Pemuteran in north Bali and a choice of resorts to spend the last few days to relax on the south coast.

The holiday costs from £2295 per person (two sharing) which includes flights, all land transportation, 13-nights’ B&B (plus two lunches), tours on a private basis and English speaking guides and drivers.

Bamboo Travel will reduce the price of all bookings for departures after 2 November for trips that use the new Garuda Indonesia direct flights.
