After just six months on site, Taylor Wimpey’s Sonnets Place development in Hermitage is already 75% sold. The exclusive development of three and four bedroom homes is proving popular with house hunters looking for a modern home in charming surroundings.

The stunning development launched early due to public demand late last year; and ever since, the award winning builder has been inundated with house hunters looking for quality family homes. Now, over 75% of the development has already been sold off plan.

One of popular homes for sale at Sonnets Place is the four bedroom detached Midford property. The home features a large open plan kitchen with French doors leading onto the garden, a spacious living area, as well as a utility room and handy storage cupboard. Situated on the second floor is the luxurious master bedroom with ensuite and three further bedrooms, all served by a family bathroom. This property is perfect for families looking to upsize to their dream family home and is priced from £350,000.

Darren McCormack, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey, said: “This development has been popular from the start and that is testament to the fabulous location, the price and the brilliant build quality. With homes selling fast and great schemes available such as Help to Buy, it’s no wonder we are struggling to keep up with the demand. I would urge anyone looking for a property in this much sought after village to come and see us now to avoid any disappointment.”

The popular Help to Buy initiative involves an equity loan scheme which is available on new build properties up to the value of £600,000. There is no salary cap for purchasers, and it is available to both first time buyers and existing home owners. Eligible purchasers receive a Government loan of up to 20%, which means that they only need to put down a 5% deposit and obtain a 75% loan-to-value mortgage.

Taylor Wimpey’s Sonnets Place development, located off Pinewood Crescent, is selling a selection of three and four bedroom properties, with prices starting from just £220,000 using the Help To Buy scheme.

Situated in the picturesque village of Hermitage, Sonnets Place is the perfect place to set up home. Hermitage enjoys a beautifully scenic backdrop, being surrounded by breathtaking countryside and woodlands. The village itself provides everything you need for day to day living, with a general store, post office, butchers, pubs, coffee shop, doctors and dentists. Tesco and Sainsbury’s supermarkets are just five miles from the development and Newbury town centre is less than six miles from your door.

Hermitage Primary School is within walking distance of the development and for older children; Park House School, The Downs School and Newbury College are also nearby. Living in Hermitage you're well connected thanks to the easy access to the A34 and M4 providing access to almost anywhere in the country. When you want to leave the car at home, Newbury and Thatcham rail stations are both just four miles away, offering services to Reading and London Paddington
