Help to Buy explained in Rochdale

Homebuyers will be able to learn how Help to Buy could make owning a brand new home in Rochdale easier to afford with a visit to Birch Grange this Sunday (June 16).

The Government-backed Help to Buy scheme is available on all new homes at Birch Grange.

It offers those with a 5% deposit the chance to cut the cost of homeownership with the aid of an equity loan.

To explain how the scheme works, Redrow is hosting a special event this Sunday.

Located in Birch Road, Wardle features three and four-bedroom homes. Prices start from £179,995 or an initial outlay of only £143,996 using the equity loan.

The Help to Buy price is made up of a 5% deposit from the customer of £9,000 and a mortgage of 134,996, which amounts to 75% of the property’s full value. The remaining share is covered by the equity loan, which is interest free for five years and can be repaid when the customer has more funds available or when they resell.

Despite the lower price, Help to Buy customers enjoy all the benefits of those who purchase a new Redrow home at full market value.
