£2m Immingham dealership coming soon for Northside Truck & Van

There’s a new star rising for commercial vehicle operators in north Lincolnshire – Mercedes-Benz dealer Northside Truck & Van has just started construction work on a new dealership at Stallingborough, near Immingham.

Northside has acquired the site on Kiln Lane and will develop the new facility at a combined cost of around £2 million.

Scheduled to open in December, it will provide jobs for 30 people, all of whom will transfer from the dealer’s current, temporary base in North Killingholme.

Staff at the new facility will retail new and Approved Used trucks and vans from the award-winning Mercedes-Benz range, as well as Fuso Canter light trucks which are also sold and supported through the German manufacturer’s dealer network in the UK.

Customers will benefit from a comfortable and welcoming reception area, while the state-of-the-art, 10-bay workshop will remain open into the night. It will have a VOSA-approved ATF (Authorised Testing Facility) for trucks, as well as a separate MoT testing station for vehicles in the Class 4, 5 and 7 categories, covering cars, minibuses and vans up to 3.5-tonnes gvw.

Importantly, for an area in which many truck operators work in the hazardous goods sector, another bay will be equipped to full ‘Pet Reg’ safety standards. There will also be a parts department offering over-the-counter sales and deliveries and a tachograph fitting and calibration service will be offered.

Northside Truck & Van has represented Mercedes-Benz in West and South Yorkshire since the 1970s. But last year the manufacturer rewarded the dealer for its customer-focused success by greatly extending its area of responsibility to include North Lincolnshire, as well as East and North Yorkshire.

Since then Northside has underlined its long-term commitment to the brand and its customers by opening a new facility in York, undertaking an extensive refurbishment programme at its dealership in Hull, and now beginning work on its new home in Stallingborough.
