A stunning new exhibition of clothing items from pop and rock superstars and legends including Madonna, Lady Gaga, Freddie Mercury, Michael Jackson and Elton John are to go on display in the UK this summer courtesy of a never-seen-before touring memorabilia exhibition produced by Hard Rock Cafe.

“Hard Rock Couture”, celebrating the strong relationship between music and fashion, will go on display to the public at Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall from 16-25 August and then onto Hard Rock Cafe Manchester from 30 August- 8 September.

The “Hard Rock Couture” tour has already been wowing music fans in Berlin, Munich, Hamburg and Brussels, and will continue around Europe hitting Paris, Barcelona, Prague and Lisbon from September.

Giving UK fans an up-close look at pieces such as Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” red leather jacket, Madonna’s iconic gold corset created by fashion guru Jean Paul Gaultier, Lady Gaga’s Oscar Lima black dress and a black and white spandex catsuit worn by Freddie Mercury on Queen’s 1978 Jazz tour plus items from The Killers, Elvis Presley, The Who, KISS, and Katy Perry, Hard Rock Couture presents 20 pieces of wild, wonderful and historic clothing from the legendary Hard Rock collection.

“We have spent nearly two years, scouring our 77,000 piece collection, to pull together a collection that will wow our guests,” said Jeff Nolan, Hard Rock Historian and tour curator. “The collection showcases a unique part of music history and gives fans an opportunity to see that history first-hand.”

The exhibition is free of charge. For more information on pieces on display, tour stop locations and public viewing dates, visit hardrock.com.

Hard Rock Calling, sponsored by Hard Rock Cafe, takes place at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London from 29-30 June, headlined by Kasabian and Bruce Springsteen.
