El Faro gears up to host two consecutive water contests

The International Windsurfing Association’s Fourth Annual Pacasmayo Classic will be held at El Faro Adventure Resort from August 25 – 31, 2013, in conjunction with the First Annual Festival Nautico at an affiliate property on Gallito Ciego Lagoon. Both the Windsurfing Slalom and Wave events are sanctioned by the International Windsurfing Association as The South American Windsurfing Championship, and sponsored by the American Windsurfing Tour, Association of Peruvian Windsurfing as well as JEEP.

Additional Festival Nautico events open to registration on Gallito Ciego Lagoon are: Standup Paddleboard, Outrigger Canoe, and the Open Water Swim.

The entry fee for the South American Windsurfing Championship is $130 USD for one event and $150 USD for both. Entry into Festival Nautico is $30 USD.
