bmi regional private plane can make dreams come true

5th August 2013 Print

When faced with the pressure of making an occasion memorable – whether it be a marriage proposal, benchmark birthday, special anniversary or indulgent treat, hiring a private jet offers greater flexibility and makes better money sense than organising an overnight trip to Europe, according to bmi regional.

The UK’s most punctual scheduled airline for eight consecutive years, bmi regional also offers private charter services for its 50-seater Embraer aircraft – decorated with a personal livery, if required – from £15,000 per day. Based on 50 passengers travelling from a UK airport to a short haul destination such as Frankfurt, Gothenburg, Lyon or Toulouse, the cost is £300 per person including full in-flight service.

Steve Hoy, Chief Commercial Officer at bmi regional, said: “Hiring a private jet for the day says a lot: it’s the ultimate way to impress a loved one. In addition, it may well save time and money when the logistics and costs of transporting a group of friends and family from the UK to Europe – timetables, air fares, transfers, accommodation, meals – are taken into account. The guest sets their own timetable, their own departure airport and destination, and is in complete control of all costs.”

Bespoke in-flight service can be arranged, from champagne to celebration cakes – you can even ask for a personalised livery with the guest’s name or favourite colours.

bmi regional Embraer jets offer a comfortable 31 inch seat pitch throughout the aircraft in a convenient 2:1 configuration. Full in-flight service including hot menus with full bar service are included, and can be tailored to exact dietary or special requirements.

Hoy continued: “In addition to making a special occasion something truly memorable, hiring a private jet for a day enables guests with other commitments – that may prevent them from travelling to Europe for a long weekend - to join the fun and share a special day.”

bmi regional marked its first anniversary as an independent airline in June 2013 and continues to expand its scheduled route network, launching six new routes in the past six weeks.
