Perhaps it’s of little surprise that Bellway Homes’ innovative Forest Walk development, Callander, has achieved over 80% sales success – since the moment the foundations were laid, the distinctive design of the properties instantly caught the imagination of buyers looking for something a little bit different.

Created by leading Scottish architects Yeoman McCallister, Forest Walk is a one-of-a-kind development where the design elements of each home maximise the inherent beauty of the surrounding Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.

Fraser Conn, Sales and Marketing Director at Bellway Homes, says: “Forest Walk has been a journey in every sense. Given the location, we wanted to create a new standalone collection of homes. Any concerns we may have had about a less traditional style of house were short lived. From the outset, the response from buyers was an overwhelmingly positive one.”

The final mix of three-bedroom terraced properties and four and five-bedroom detached homes incorporate a number of considerate design elements. Large south facing windows capitalise on solar gain; while timber frames have been produced from renewable sources. The external façade of each property is a mixture of white rendering and timber effect weatherboarding, natural materials that reflect the attractiveness of the locality.

Internally the eco influences continue, with oak finished staircases, open plan garden rooms within several of the properties and lots of natural light via windows placed in vaulted ceilings in the upper hallways.

The natural aspect of each property also effortlessly harmonises with the modern conveniences buyers yearn for in a 21st century home – spacious and modern fitted kitchens complete with integrated appliances, separate utility rooms styled similarly to the kitchens, streamlined en-suites and family bathrooms. Bespoke additional extras are also available on selected plots, where purchasers can further personalise their already unique home.

Bellway Homes has been equally attentive to the layout of the development. Traditionally crafted sandstone walls have been incorporated throughout Forest Walk, with the masonry restricted to a height that allows all residents to make the most of the views, such as nearby Ben Ledi and neighbouring countryside.

In addition to a choice of incentives available, including ‘Part Exchange’ ‘5% Deposit Paid’ and the Scottish Government supported 95% mortgage scheme – ‘MI New Home’, Bellway is also offering an exciting selection of new financial packages.

Fraser Conn comments: “The buyers at Forest Walk have been extremely diverse, from downsizers and families, to those re-locating and several residents have been attracted to living here because of their love for the great outdoors. As such, we’ve reflected this in the buying options by providing a wide-range of tailored incentives.”
It’s easy to see why Forest Walk has captivated those who love the great outdoors, given that Callander is considered the gateway to the Highlands and is bordered by 270 square miles of national park. However, it’s a location equally appealing to those who want to feel part of a warm and active community, with its local shops, restaurants, schools and leisure facilities.

Further adding to its appeal is Stirling, Perth, Glasgow and Edinburgh which are all within a reasonable commute of the town, via the A84 and M9, providing the ideal setting for buyers looking to strike the perfect work/life balance.

Prices at Forest Walk range from £159,995 to £469,995. For further information on the remaining properties at development, visit bellway.co.uk.
