There’s a fantastic opportunity for home-hunters to purchase their perfect property for less at Taylor Wimpey’s sought-after Welbury Meadows development in Hailsham, East Sussex.

That’s because the Government’s Help to Buy shared equity scheme is available at the development, enabling first-time buyers and those with a property to sell to purchase their new home for just 80% of its full price, including a deposit as low as 5%.

The three-bedroom ‘Becket’ terraced house, for example, is currently available to reserve with Help to Buy at Welbury Meadows.

Jason Stokes, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “The ‘Becket’ offers a wealth of spacious accommodation across three storeys that’s perfectly suited to family life.

“Help to Buy is the ideal solution for both first-time buyers struggling to save a hefty deposit and those looking to move up the property ladder, so I’d advise anyone hoping to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to contact us without delay – before someone else beats them to it!”

The Plot 104 ‘Becket’ is priced at just £220,000 and features a spacious living/dining room opening through French doors to the private rear garden, plus a kitchen/breakfast room and a guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.

Upstairs, the first-floor landing leads to two bedrooms and a main bathroom, while an en-suite master bedroom with dressing area enjoys appealing seclusion on the top floor, and outside, there’s allocated parking.

Alternative three-bedroom designs are available at Welbury Meadows from only £222,500, while one-bedroom coach house-style apartments are priced from just £134,995, and four and five-bedroom properties from only £279,995 and £309,995 respectively.

Help to Buy involves a Government loan of up to 20% and is available on new-build properties up to the value of £600,000. There’s no salary cap for purchasers using the scheme.

Alternatively, the NewBuy initiative enables credit-worthy buyers in a range of circumstances to access their new home with a 95% mortgage.

Conveniently located in North Hailsham, Welbury Meadows is within easy reach of a wide selection of independent and high street shops, supermarkets including Waitrose, Tesco and Asda, a host of pubs and restaurants, plus a choice of schools for children of all ages.

Commuters will appreciate that the A22 provides quick links to Eastbourne and the M25, while Polegate railway station is only three miles away, offering regular services to London Victoria, Ashford International, Brighton and Eastbourne.

Amenities in Hailsham include a leisure centre, which boasts a swimming pool, gym and fitness studio, children’s soft play facilities and a bowling alley. Hailsham Pavilion, a restored 1920s cinema, offers a programme of films, live music and theatre productions.

To find out more about securing the ‘Becket’ with Help to Buy at Welbury Meadows, property-seekers should visit the Sales and Marketing Suite located off Hempstead Lane, Hailsham, and open daily from 10am to 5pm.
