Ride-away announces rebranding and launch of new website

5th September 2013 Print

Ride-away, one of the UK’s top retailers for horse-riding equipment and supplies, has announced a full re-branding of its business - a task which includes the showroom in York, its bi-annual catalogue and the website.

The company, which was purchased by pet retailer Pets at Home earlier in the year, is carrying out the rebranding to portray a more contemporary look, whilst retaining the provenance and heritage of Ride-away. It’s intended that the new look will create a more aspirational message which fits the business’s strapline: “Live to Ride.” Ride-away hopes the new branding will inspire customers new and old to explore the different avenues of riding and of horse ownership, while making riding more accessible to new and inexperienced riders.

The website, a major source of revenue for the company, is being re-vamped to improve navigation and present products in a cleaner and more methodical way. The catalogue has also been rebranded, and is available to view, download or order from the Ride-away website.

Jonny Armstrong, General Manager, said “We’re very excited about the rebrand, and we’re hoping it will really help us encourage new customers to visit the store, take a look at the website and learn more about the products and services we offer.  There's so much specialist equipment involved in owning and riding horses, which is why all Ride-away colleagues have an equestrian background and are fully trained to offer advice and help in any way that they can.

Riding is more than just a hobby, it’s a lifestyle choice, and we feel it’s important that as many people as possible have the opportunity to try it. Hopefully with our new look & feel, and our knowledgeable equestrian team, we’ll be able to make riding even more accessible enabling more and more people to Live to ride.”
