For those craving the atmosphere of the seaside and the tastes of the ocean, The Granville @ Barford is hosting its annual ‘Seafood Festival’ from Tuesday 24 - Saturday 28 September. Customers will be able to enjoy a wide range of delicious fresh seafood dishes from produce delivered daily.

Starters will include Fish Chowder, Seared Scallops, King Prawn Cocktail, Smoked Haddock Rarebit and Carpaccio of Tuna Niçoise. Main courses will also include Lobster Béarnaise, Sea Bream, Plaice, Red Snapper and Skate Wing. A selection of wines will be available to accompany the dishes with personal wine recommendations provided by the experienced staff. The Granville will also be running some of its regular favourite dishes alongside the Seafood Festival menu. Please note some seafood dishes may change subject to market availability.

Val Kersey, Proprietor, stated “We are delighted to be hosting another of our popular Seafood Festivals. Instead of travelling to the seaside, customers can enjoy the delights of some fantastic dishes here in Barford. Our Head Chef, Lewis Baldwin, is an avid freshwater fish angler - and of course he has to put his catch back in the river! He is looking forward to creating lots of delicious dishes and also understands the importance of eating fish as part of a balanced diet”.

Studies have proved that the best sources of good fats, vitamins and minerals to promote good health are found in seafood and nutrition experts recommend that we should be eating at least two portions of fish every week. Seafood also provides important sources of omega-3 fatty acids that protect the body against heart diseases and help lower blood cholesterol levels.

Booking ahead is highly recommended. For more information on The Granville @ Barford visit the website at granvillebarford.co.uk.
