Homebuyers looking for a stylish property for an affordable price are being urged not to miss a special event taking place at Taylor Wimpey’s Oxley Gate development in Milton Keynes.

Prospective buyers can find out more about the stunning one and two-bedroom apartments available under the Government’s popular new Help to Buy scheme at an evening event being held on the evening of Thursday 12th September.

Those attending the Help to Buy event can learn more about how they can purchase their ideal home for 80% of its price, including a 5% deposit, and benefit from helpful advice courtesy of Taylor Wimpey’s experienced sales team.

Under Help to Buy, eligible buyers of a two-bedroom ‘Oxley’ apartment, priced £165,000, only require a 5% deposit of £8,250 and a 75% loan-to-value mortgage of £123,750 to secure the stylish property.

With a 20% loan provided by the Government, Help to Buy customers at Oxley Gate could look forward to low monthly mortgage payments of as little as £553.21.

The average cost of renting a similar-sized apartment in Milton Keynes is approximately £795 per month, so using Help to Buy could potentially make purchasing a brand new home at Oxley Gate a more affordable option than living in rented accommodation.

Steve Rolt, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “This is an unmissable opportunity for house-hunters to find out all they need to know about Help to Buy at Oxley Gate.

“There will be experts on hand to offer information and advice about what the scheme means for homebuyers, as well as the fantastic selection of apartments we have on sale.”

Under Help to Buy, customers receive a 20% Government loan to help with the purchase of their new home, and there is no salary cap for homebuyers taking advantage of the scheme. It is available to both first-time buyers and those with a property to sell.

There’s a selection of impressive one and two-bedroom apartments available to purchase at Oxley Gate, with prices starting at just £140,000.

The two-bedroom ‘Oxley’ apartment, priced from £165,000, features an open plan kitchen/dining/living room, opening through French doors to a private balcony or terrace, plus an en-suite master bedroom, a further bedroom and a main bathroom, while outside there’s allocated parking.

Residents at Oxley Gate are just a few miles from the cultural heart of Milton Keynes town centre, which boasts more than 230 shops, cafes, restaurants and an outdoor market.

The town’s wide selection of leisure and entertainment facilities is also within easy reach by bus or by car, including the National Bowl and Milton Keynes Theatre District, StadiumMK and the Xscape dome, which features an indoor ski slope, a skydiving simulator, a rock-climbing wall, a multiplex cinema, bowling alleys and a health and fitness centre.

For commuters, junction 14 of the M1 is just a few minutes’ drive from home, while Milton Keynes Central railway station operates direct services to London Euston in as little as 35 minutes. Those travelling further afield will appreciate that Luton Airport is only 20 miles from home.

Would-be buyers can find out more about Help To Buy at Oxley Gate at the Help To Buy event on the evening of Thursday 12th September from 5pm to 8pm at the Sales Centre, located at 4 Sinatra Drive, Oxley Park, Milton Keynes, MK4 4JG.
