Property-seekers are being given a helping hand to secure their dream home at Oakbrook, Taylor Wimpey’s in-demand development in Newton Leys, Buckinghamshire.

Savvy purchasers can take advantage of the Government’s new Help to Buy shared equity scheme, which is available now with the brand new phase of two, three and four-bedroom properties at Oakbrook, offering something for buyers in all circumstances.

Help to Buy enables first-time buyers and those looking to move home to purchase their new property for just 80% of its full price, including a deposit as low as 5% and home-hunters are being encouraged to act quickly if they want to snap up their perfect property under the scheme.

Christine Scarborough, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “The new phase at Oakbrook really does offer something for everybody, and with Help to Buy now available, we are expecting demand for the latest selection of high-quality homes to be incredibly high.

“Anyone hoping to snap up one of the newly-released properties at this sought-after development will need to contact us without delay, or risk missing out on their perfect pad!”

The new phase at Oakbrook includes a selection of two, three and for-bedroom homes priced from £185,000.

All new homes at Oakbrook are completed to a high standard specification, including energy efficient central heating, double glazing, and a fitted kitchen with integrated oven, hob and hood.

Under Help to Buy, eligible purchasers can access a 20% equity loan from the Government, which means they only require a 75% loan to value mortgage and a deposit as low as 5%.

The initiative is available with new build properties up to the value of £600,000 and there is no salary cap for purchasers taking advantage of the scheme.

Oakbrook lies just to the east of the village of Newton Longville, for a good selection of local amenities, and is just a few miles from the centre of Milton Keynes, which boasts more than 230 shops, cafes, restaurants and an outdoor market.

The town’s wide selection of leisure and entertainment facilities is also close by, including the National Bowl and Milton Keynes Theatre District, StadiumMK and the Xscape dome, which features an indoor ski slope, a skydiving simulator, a rock-climbing wall, a multiplex cinema, bowling alleys and a health and fitness centre.

Parents will appreciate a wide choice of schools for children of all ages and further education colleges within easy reach of the development.

For commuters, the A5 and the M1 are just a few minutes’ drive from the development, while those travelling further afield will appreciate that Luton Airport is only 25 miles away. Express services from Milton Keynes Central to Euston, meanwhile, put central London a little over half an hour away by train.

Property-seekers hoping to secure one of the brand new homes available at Oakbrook using Help to Buy should visit the Sales Information Centre, located off Grenada Crescent, Newton Leys, Milton Keynes, MK3 5GB, and open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5.30pm.
